We are delighted to have Phil Beard from Viridian Nutrition giving a talk on Inflammation Pain and inflammation.
Pain and inflammation are some of the most distressing and persistent health issues with more than 17 million prescriptions written for anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving drugs annually in the United Kingdom and equally significant over-the-counter use. Pain relieving medication can be effective, however use of these medications can have important side effects. In this talk we explore some of the most common conditions associated with pain and the practical solutions including an anti-inflammatory diet programme, specific nutritional considerations and new, fast-acting dietary supplements.
Highly qualified, Phil has an MSc in Nutrition and Health from Manchester Metropolitan University and a BA Hons in Sports Coaching and Strength Conditioning. He is an engaging and experienced speaker after a number of years as a Health and Wellbeing Trainer in the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme.
He is currently employed within the Technical Services team at Viridian Nutrition.
